One Direction are one of the best-selling boy bands of all time; a British-Irish five-piece whose global phenomenon status in the early 2010s produced multiple record-breaking albums and a devoted worldwide fanbase known as the Directioners. Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, and Liam Payne collectively made One Direction one of the most commercially dominant acts of their era; and each member has gone on to build a significant solo career.
